But Christmas Eve, I did meet up with Sasha to go IKEA to shop for my storage stuffs.
Felt satisfied!!! And my wardrobe is finally getting neater.

Movie Marathon-ed

Just as the title suggests, I have watched movies the WHOLE day today with Patty!!

I shall introduce the three movies that we watched:

Ranking FIRST:

ANGUS, THONGS AND PERFECT SNOGGING!

This show is totally for girls who love chick flicks like me and for people who loves a good laugh. I was totally in love with their English accents. And the guys were HOT in the show too!!!
I wasn't expect to be that good especially Ruo was thinking that it's a very lame show. BUT IT'S NOT!!! Lol. I'm glad i watched this show. Love it! A MUST-WATCH for this holiday.

Ranking Second: TWILIGHT

Totally in love with the idea of the love between a vampire and a human AND Edward Cullen! Tho it's a little different from the book, I still love it. And i love the Doctor Vampire which i forgot the name, it's Carlisle or smth. Everything about him stood out during his first take. Love it. And i love the scene at the baseball field. (Movie is quite subjective as some people preferred the book over the movie.) Overall, I would love to watch it again. And Patty was soooo into Twilight that she bought the book!!! Too bad, the package of four of Stephanie Meyer's book are all SOLD OUT! If not, she'll be buying that.

THIRD PLACE: BOLT

Bolt wasn't as good as I would have imagined. The scene started with Bolt acting in the show. Everything about this show is quite predictable, just like what it had been shown on the trailers. The good part only begins when Rhino the Hamster arrived to the scene. He creates laughter. Love him with his rolling ball. Not really a movie that I would like to watch again.

CONCLUSION

I LOVE MOVIE MARATHON!!! And it's so cool that Pat and I chose all great movies. Especially Angus. ANGUS ANGUS!!!
I'm very satisfied with the show and i'll probably gonna buy Angus when it's out in vcd. =DD

The 7 Hours Karaoke

On Monday, I went to sing Karaoke with my Veggie Fam.
I'm not planning to put up photos coz i have done that in the Veggie Fam's blog.
Anyway, Top one damn cool!
They even have those kind of Disco lights.

And you know that you will expect a lot of old or Canto songs with ah Jing around.
Lol.
And I was singing Moon River when i realized the music video for Moon River is DISNEY WORLD!! And that got me excited to see Epcot and Mickey and the Parade. The good ol' days!!

And after Karaoke for 7 hours Straight, we went to Crystal Jade to eat our La mian and Xiao Long bao. Yummy!!!

Christmas, it's the time for giving

I was messaging my Fofinha as usual and she told me this little practice that they do in Brazil.

Kids from Brazil will write letters to Santa Claus and send it to the post office.
The post office of course, don't know where to send this to and they have thousands and thousands of it.

So they let people, anyone like my friend, to come in to the post office and they get to pick how many they want to give a gift to the kid. Usually poor kids...

My friend picked up a letter from a 12 year old girl, who just had simple wishes to have stationery, like pen, pencil, notepad, and a bible, so that she can study.
And then my friend will go back to the post office to send the little girl the stuffs she ask for.
Some i heard ask for clothings and food for their siblings. =((

ISN'T THIS HEARTWARMING???
It is just so sweet that I have to share it with people.

And I would love to pick up a letter as well.

When people ask me that after I just finished my MDP exam, I'll probably start a long ranting on how i get this cut while crossing the broken down traffic light and accidentally cut my pinky on this rough edge of a pole with the height of the waist.

(I was thinking of providing a picture but i tot it was kinda gross.)

Then i'll continue ranting off how my very nice friend, WL, bought an antiseptic spray for me (sweettt). But the cut just kept bleeding non-stop.

And I'll go on saying how it affect me during my MDP exams as little patches of blood are staining the papers and I'll have to wrap my pinky with a tissue paper and continue working.

Then, I shall complain about how numb my hands felt during the 2 hours and how I wish that i was on the last question when the paper just started 30 minutes ago.

And when I finally finished the paper, i have no idea how well i done coz the diagrams i drew and the explanations i gave are two different things that I totally forgot to link them together.

So, how is my exam today?
You tell me.

It's My Life

These pictures are a few days late.

Miriam, Pat and me went out to catch a play called "It's My Life" at the NUS cultural theatre.
But before that, Miriam and I met up for dinner and since it was still early, we decided to roam around Clementi.
And i suggested to visit my old school.

YAMAHA!

I remember this corridor!! Where Jie and I always sit/squat while waiting for the previous class to end their lesson. I used to hate going for Organ lessons coz I suck at it. I don't know what's best for me then. =(
But now, i totally miss the lovely ambiance in the classroom. Beautiful music, pretty organs.

If I have wide enough arms, i'll probably hug the whole Yamaha.
After visiting my old music school, we sat down somewhere near the bus-stop to wait for Patty's arrival.
And we board the bus going to NUS!

Here we are!!! There's lots of people. Mostly TEENS. That means secondary school kids.

And below are the sketches by the designers for the props and etc.

THE PLAY:
What can I say? I thought it would be good since we all gone through the teenage phase and maybe we could relate some of the show to our lives.
Pat thinks it's not bad, Miriam says it's okay, I thought it was quite bad.

Firstly, the start of the play was quite good. I like the start of it.
But subsequently, it was getting kinda boring.
Some of the reasons is because that I would expect a lot of changing of props after looking at the designers' sketches but the props din't change that much.
And it was kinda boring to see the same set over again.

Then it was the "talking to an invisible body" part. I wouldn't mind if that happens a few times in the show but throughout the whole show they were just talking to themselves.
Also, the mime part. Sometimes i just don't get what they are trying to convey. There's just a lot of silence in the show.

And there seems to be no flow in the play, I think the reason being is that there are TEN main characters. It's hard to really focus on each one of them in 2 hours and really portray their lives out to the audience clearly.

Overall, the show was very flat to me. There's no climax, no rise, no fall. And even though they try to create an impact, for example, one of the kids knew her parents are divorcing, and it tries to create those "DENG DENG DENG DENG" effect with the lights. But I don't really feel it.
I think it's important for a performance to be able to create a bond with the audience.
That is probably what this show is lacking.

But I like the music, some of it. The others i don't know what is the music trying to convey.
For example, "Paper Jam" What the hell is a paper jam?? I'm clueless.
And i like the live band. But i think they'll do better with a uniform colour/style instead.

Yup. That's it. My day with Patty and Miriam for the play.
At least i enjoyed their company.

Thrilled! Coz we worked hard tho it's kinda last minute.

Madagascar!!!

Madagascar 2 with Pat after presentation.
Had KFC for lunch.

The movie that Pat slept for 30 minutes. LOL!

After which, I accompanied her to Far East to do her nails.
And went to the small little food fair on the first level of Far East.

Saw this African stall where they sell all those cool accessories. Pat bought a giraffe ring and a big cat bookmark. While i bought myself an Ox(?) bookmark.

And since it's food fair, I decided that we should choose a food for each other, something unique. But the stalls have quite normal food.
And...As Pat loves Africa so much, i bought for her a African-made Wrap thingy.
Ingredients: The wrap, her "favourite" tomato, chicken, grapes, and other veggie etc.

"Hm!!!! I 'love' the tomatoes!!"

And Pat bought a 泰国香米 with 日本炒 Udon for me!
It feels very Za Cai Peng with no ingredients. NO MEAT?! LOL. I tasted mushroom, strips of onion and something weird like 竹笋？

(For some reason, my picture of my 泰国香米 with 日本炒 Udon has disappeared into thin air.)

We gave up in the end. Throwing our half-eaten food away.

The adventure of the day!!!

P.S. I feel so proud of my leg for surviving that long for that high. Around 11 hours! Say yippee!

Project DONE!

After 2 long days of projects.
We are finally done!!!

Saturday:
Met up with Mandy and Sarah at Woodlands Starbucks to work on CB.
It was not quite a fruitful day for project but a fruitful one for gossips.
LOL!
We had fun reading carebear and Mandy's conversation.
And we promised ourselves Swensens on Sunday.

Sunday:
Met up again! But this time at CentrePoint Starbucks (we love Starbucks!!)
But we were sort of chased out of there coz of the peak period.
So off we go to Kaplan and TRIED to find a ppt to plug our laptop.
And realized all the PPT are located at a not very strategic location.
Sat down there for a while before proceeding to PS for dinner.
We kept our promise!! Ate Swensens for dinner!!
Sarah is a little eater.
I hate my choice of baked rice. Bleah.
Cam-whore while dinner-ing.
Tried to find places to settle down for CB AGAIN!
And found Cathay Starbucks!!! (again)
Sat down as we try to finalized our final portion.
Went home at around 12 plus.
Tired.
Our heads are 50kg added up together.
Hope tomorrow's presentation will go shun shun li li.

After school today, Pat and me went to Changi to meet up with Miriam for dinner at Sakae!

After which, Pat went home to check out the news about the White Tigers while i went to T3 with Miriam to check out the Disney decorations.

Yesterday was 4th November.

I was very excited looking in the news for the results of the US presidential election not realizing the time differences between Singapore and US. LoL

And i checked the results today!
So YEAH!!! BARACK OBAMA won by landslide!!!!
As you may realise, i'm Obama supporter. =DD
And he's the first black president of US.

I'm sure he'll be a better president.

The Coffin!

I did did something for Halloween! Hahaha. I watched "The Coffin" with Pat!!!

We bought the tix during MDP break time. But lucky we did coz by the time we watch the movie, the theatre was almost full!

MDP was alright. Like always, i'm listening half while other half, i'm dreaming.

Then KFC-ed with Pat, WL, and Jess. Hahahah. Chat a lot of stuffs. Gossips! wooo. my favourite. =P and of course discussed projects.

Then Pat and I watched "The Coffin"!!!

Hahahaha. Seriously, i thought i would be the brave one and laughing at Pat when she Oohh and Ahhh during scary moments. =P

I was wrong!! But i'm the one who's always getting scared! And i think the uncle beside me is a lil irritated! Hahahaha!! Whatever lo.

It was supposed to be Ohana gathering, but ya, in the end, it was just Miriam and me. But we did enjoyed ourselves. Went to Ajisen for lunch before HSM 3.

HSM3 was GREAT!!! It's damn good lo. The songs, the film, the cast. They are awesome! Wouldn't mind watching again.

After HSM3, we went to LOT1. Lol. Miriam's first time. And then later we went to my house and get started on our projects. Miriam's first time to my house too!

Miriam works on her church survival event, while i work on Santi's fairy tale book.

Went back to SP with Sha and saw a significant change!!! It's more colourful, new and vibrant!

the new kids in SP has lifts!!! rawrr!!! brats. lol. jkjk. the graduates used to climb all the way up to sixth storey. Poor us.

I love the TV. It's always boring to wait for the lift but now, we have entertainment! Oh well. I've graduated. wth.

They even have a food kiosk!!! damn cool can.

I went to Yahoo! News and read an article about a woman who was "married" to a guy in MapleStory, killed her "husband" coz of the sudden "divorce".

And by kill, i meant it as killing his character in MapleStory. Not really kill, that kind of kill, ya know.

Btw she's charged.

I'm astonished.

This MapleStory Virtual game is really getting into people's head.

She's a piano teacher lo. Piano teachers give me those feeling they are very peace loving and sweet. totally not a hacker. PIANO TEACHER LEH! that means she's adult la!!! omg. Virtual world can really mess with people's mind man.

Amidst my forever long than ever to do list, i still have the time to watch shows.

But anyway, I was watching 90210. The continuation of Beverly Hills 90210

It's quite a good show about some kids moving to LA and their high school life.

Anyway, watching this makes me reminisce the days at USA. Especially there's a part where the show played a song by Leona Lewis. Hahaha. It started me thinking. Coz I remember the Ohanas are so in love with Leona Lewis at that time during the LA/SF trip.

I remember Santa Monica.

I remember the big ferris wheel.

Jess and I were talking (more like writing) during HROD lessons coz it was really very boring.

We were talking about going back to USA. Hahaha. The days.

And she told me she wants to get married in Orlando and have a two months honeymoon there. Sweet.

Then i suggested to her, how about skydiving while getting married? You get to say "I DO" in the sky. And the people who wants to attend your wedding must skydive with you! HAHAHA!

You heard people getting married underwater, how about under the skies?

That's probably one of a kind.

And her face immediately become O_O!!!

HSM3!!! It reminds me of my graduations!

My Singapore Poly Graduation! That day was HOT!!! But I was thrilled. Everyone was! And after receiving our diplomas, everyone was so busy looking for friends to take picture with. That day was AWESOME!

There was my graduation at Mickey's Retreat in Orlando, Florida for the College Program.

I miss the peeps!!!

It was UNIQUE! Of course! I love the Graduating Mickey and Minnie. They are soooo cute and one of a kind! And it sure took long to wait for my turn to take photos with them.

Went to Jess's chalet at Aloha Loyang on 30th sept.
Played MJ with Pat, WL and karl. But in the end, the chips was mixed up so no winner no losers. (good for me, coz i think i lost a lot)
Her nieces and nephews are sooooooo cute!!!
And eugene the magician and babysitter was really very entertaining.
went back to the room after cake cutting and sat there chit chatting with dba12 ppl for the rest of the night.
Slept and woke up to find Miriam, Qian and Leonard went home.
Ate Mac's breakfast and went home with Suet and Pat.

It's been like forever since my last chalet.
I like it.

It's kinda expected coz the China players are really good.

Anyway, I just watched the news.
If you haven't been watching swimming, Jessicah Schipper was one of the record holder.
But in one of the competition, i forgot which one, Liu Zige came in first and broke the world record, while Schipper finishes third. There's like little information on Liu Zige so people was quite surprised she overtook the record holder.
Turns out that Schipper's coach sold her out. He sold his training methods to Liu Zige.
What happened to work ethics??

After movies, i came home sneezing and sniffing.

I look ridiculous!
My eyes are watery and my nose is runny and red.
I think people are tired when they are sick is because all their energy has been used to rub their noses, sniff, trying their hardest not to be dizzy when they obviously are, and of course reaching way out to grab the tissue box for your runny nose.

I used to have serious sneezing ALL THE TIME when i was young.
(That's probably because of the dust around my house. =s)
And I used to love this Casper the Friendly Ghost show when an elephant was sneezing non-stop and Casper was kind enough to reach into his long nose to pull out the feather that was tickling him, causing him to sneeze.

And guess what, I was totally into it.
I tried my hardest to sneeze out the feather i thought was in my nose.
(Which obviously, there weren't any.)

Gave up eventually and realised that the feather thing......is a lie. =S

AHHH CHOOO!!!
Oh ya. Just wanna check, am I the only one (other than Jing) that can sneeze for three times or more in a row? Coz whenever my sneezing urge is coming, it comes simultaneously and it never seems to stop.

Just went to watch Red Cliff with PS.
It was awesome. I love it!!! I'm awaiting part 2 of it.
And I've gotten my first try on booking tickets through telephone.
IT SUCKS!
Actually, it was quite alright except for the fact that I almost fell asleep due to the words spoken per second was like 1/4. Can't concentrate when people speak slowly.

Last night I was watching Korean drama when I heard "tik".
I tot it was a beetle or something but when i glanced up, it was a cockroach!!! Adult! Flying!! AROUND!!!

OMG!
I quickly ran out of the room, and grab an insecticide.
I was freaked out!

I swore i woke my younger sis up to help me catch it.
She refused and our conversation lasted for like 5 minutes?

And this evening, she came back from school...

Shu: "Why got insecticide smell?"

Me: "You don't remember meh?"

Shu: "what?"

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She super kua zhang la!!! She even opened her eyes and talk to me leh. The next morning she remember nothing?!

I fell asleep once in front of the computer, the next thing i know, i was on my bed sleeping. Can't remember much and sis told me that she tried to woke me up, and after a while, i just switch off the computer and WALK back to my bed.

We do things subconsciously when we are asleep.

Taxis

I'm not a fan for taxi since like gazillion years ago.
Singapore is like so small and so accessible, i see no point of having taxis unless you missed the last train home.

The last time i took a taxi, it cost me a freaking 24 dollars coz there's midnight charges.
And another reason is, NO ONE IS LIVING IN THE WEST WITH ME!!!
(At least those I normally hang out with.)
I can totally list out reasons why not to take taxi, at least for my case.

First, it is really such a waste for me to take taxi ALONE. I have to bear all the charges.

Second, I can buy one expensive branded clothes, e.g. Zara, Mango with just 2 rides on the Taxis.

Thirdly, I always have this thinking that the taxi drivers are dangerous. Like they can just drive you off to anywhere. And ya, rob you and whatsoever. Call me paranoid. BUT I'M ALONE ON THE TAXI!!! Hard for me to stop thinking of thoughts like these.

And, the last thing you wanna see is your friends leaving you all alone at the taxi stand waiting for the next taxi to go to the West, coz the previous one doesn't. Tho it's not their fault. But freaking hell, it does not feel good.

Lastly, 24 dollars can last me like a twenty MRT trips?

So people.
I would REALLY appreciate it if you organise outing and TRY to make everything ends before the last train. Unless we are going drinking, that's fine with me. But if we are going to places to like hang out, e.g. movies, dinner, TRY!!! Coz i believe all these things can end before the last train.

I'm always like, saying "Bye!" to EVERYONE in my clique and they would sit in a nice and comfortable taxi talking crap, while i'm stuck with some taxi driver who is blabbering about road ways.

I spend money on things that i think is needed, and taxi is just not one of them.

I spent like 1 month doing the freaking W2 and 1040 tax form which was making me crazily mad.
Luckily, my effort was not wasted!

Anyway, this IS a good surprise for me coz my day at work was not that cheery.
